Day 119: Cards # 289, # 700 & # 1010

So far so good this week, have posted every day.   Here's 3 more for you all to see:

Card # 289:  John Lackey, 2007 Topps Update Gold UH273, Los Angeles Angels (289/2007)
Noteworthy:  May need to see a doctor for whiplash, had a 1.619 WHIP which meant a lot of balls were going past him, a lot of them quite quickly I bet.  It's easy to say now after 2 years, but Boston OVERPAID this guy by a mile. 

Card # 700:  Matt Holliday, 2007 Topps Update Gold UH700, Colorado Rockies (700/2007)
Noteworthy:  His favorite place to hit away from home last year?  Dodger Stadium (9/16, .563 avg)

Card # 1010:  Mike Adams, 2011 Topps Update Gold US292, Texas Rangers (1010/2011)
Noteworthy:  After missing the 2007 due to knee injuries, his highest season ERA has been 2.48 and highest season WHIP was 1.065.  You just don't get much better than that over a 4 year period...
